Thank you so much to Heather of Johnston & Murphy for the lovely book by Delia Owens, "Where the Crawdads Sing." Though it's on my reading least, I did have a sneak peek of the first sentence and I know I'm going to love this book. The words draw you in immediately and you want to know what's on the next page already. I had the same feeling when I read the first few words of "The God of Small Things" and Chery Strayed's "Wild."

But for now, I have a few more books I'm finishing up, "The Unlikely Yank,""Guilt & Sin in Traditional China," & Mildred Wellborn's article about "The Events Leading to the Chinese Exclusion Act."
