A SOUVENIR OF BOOK SIGNINGS BYGONE AND OF THOSE TO COME

One of my favorite relics was a bookmark presented to me by Daron Mueller from the Tattered Cover for our launch of the "the CLOUD that fell from the sky." I was thinking about the book mark and how it represents an oxymoronic, double entendre of sorts in that it signifies an ending and beginning at the same time. It holds onto your place in time, never weary should a day, month, or year pass by, but rather waits patiently for the reader's return and to remind them where they once were and where they will be.
